Finally!!!!

 Guess What!!!!

We got an Investigator!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. We are so excited!!!

We met him on Saturday. He is the father of an inactive family member and he is awesome! He has read from the Book of Mormon and believes it’s true! He believes that Joseph Smith was a Prophet! He believes that the Priesthood that Christ had and all the prophets and apostles in the past have had has been restored to the earth! Its sooooooooo Sweeet!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!

We have to wait until Saturday to teach him. But that’s ok!

And then it gets better!! We were at church yesterday and 3 members of our ward said they had people for us to teach! We are going to go and visit them this week! We think that we were being tested the last 5 weeks to see if we would continue pushing and working even though life kind of stunk. But we areee soooo excited!!!! AHHHHH!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

In other news I can now wear my gray suit again! I ripped the pants and so I couldn't wear it. But (Shout-Out to Hermana R.) a Hermana in our ward fixed them for me which was perfect because on the way to her house I shredded the front of my black suit pants….which I’m sorry about; there was a baptism and we were only there because I was asked to sing.  I sang "Yo se que vive mi Senor" (I know that my Redeemer Lives). It was good, I guess. But the baptism was super, super sweet. The spirit was very, very strong. The two kids that were baptized are total bosses!

I love this Church and this Gospel! I know it is true and that I am on the Lord’s Errand doing the Lords Work!

YUCAIPA ZONE CONFERENCE

Look at those handsome Elders sitting at the table behind the sisters. 

So the last 5 weeks really have been pretty tough. Biking is really, really hard especially in a large area where it takes at least 20 minutes to get to anyone's home. It’s slightly frustrating because we could at the very least be talking to every person we see but we have nobody to talk to. We can literally go a whole day and the only people we will see are in their cars driving. Nobody is outside and nobody wants to talk to us.  Everyone is always working. The nice thing though is that we have some really awesome members. They have all told us that their homes are our homes and if we don’t have dinner appointment we can just call and come over. But I’m running out of time because we have to go out and work so I’ll talk to everyone next week!

I know this church is true and I love this Gospel!

Late to the Library

A pretty exciting week as you can see. Zach and his companion got to the library late so he didn't have much time ...  h'mmmm - we'll work on a lesson about priorities!

Mom ... I'm not gonna have time to send an email this week. :/ We have a Temple trip next week so that is going to be out P-Day and I'll 'talk' to you then. 

Everything with me is pretty sweet! Riding 20 miles a day and what-not! The new apartment is super clean and nice and the other elders are so much fun! 

Investigators. Right now we have 1. He isn't new but he is the only one the sisters left that we can work with. So, we are working on finding more people. 

Maybe you could pray about that? Pray to help us find more people to teach??

A New Town a New Companion and a New Ward...I mean Branch!

I’m now in Yucaipa. I live in Banning and cover all of Banning and Cherry Valley, which is really big for an area for me, at least compared to Coachella. But it’s fun. We are on bikes - ok that’s not entirely true. We are supposed to be on bikes but my companion, Elder R, who by the way is hilarious, had an accident 3 months ago and broke his elbow.  It hasn't fully healed :/ So after 2 days of struggling through riding his bike we got told by the mission nurse that he can’t ride until after his doctor’s appointment this Wednesday. So the last 2 days we have been walking and man is that difficult. We were all white-washed in so we have no idea what is going on and who we can call. So on Friday since we didn't have dinner we walked to Little Caesars and then walked up to a family’s home who lived pretty far and it took us an hour to do the walk and then we got driven home and it took 3 minutes >.< Meeeeeh.  

Saturday was fun, too. We had one lesson with a family and spent 5.5 hours of the day walking and covered about 14 miles. That was awful. Though we had an adventure, the picture of the ditch with the Book of Mormon at the bottom was behind a shopping center and in between the center and the train tracks. We had a plan to try and cross the tracks and the freeway but there is a fence along the freeway so we just kept walking by the tracks. But we found this hole and we went around and we found the Book of Mormon and we thought about taking it but maybe whoever lived there was reading it so we didn't want to steal it from them.  My feet hurt and I have some blisters now. But it’s worth it. Doing the Lords work is always worth it!!

Church was interesting on Sunday because well, there are more than enough members to have a ward. It’s just not enough of them are active. And we want to help this branch be a ward. So that’s a big focus in this area. It was strange because we are in a stake center and only like 8 of the rows were filled. Maybe 50 or 60 people were actually there on time and then the other 30 showed up like 5 minutes before the sacrament. They had us introduce ourselves and everything. It was kind of nerve wracking. But everyone in the ward that goes to church loves the missionaries and is super excited to have elders in the branch.

We are super excited to work out here and help this branch grow.

I don’t have time to say anymore. And well nothing huge has happened. But I hope you will all pray for missionary experiences this week and I know if you do Heavenly Father will give them to you.
