Hey
mom!
So
yeah we got the shirts! They are sweet! I put a picture on dropbox! We are
going to wear them to zone sports today! Its gonna be awesome!!
Other
then that the week has been kind of slow. We haven't been able to find any of
our investigators and it’s been really, really sad :/ We are going to do a
do-or-die with them all this week and other then that we basically only have
Johana who is progressing.
I
was super excited to get your box with the Oreos cause I've been wanting to
make deep-fried Oreos for like ever but I didn't want to buy them. So yeah I
made everyone deep-fried Oreos. Everyone was way surprised about how good they
were haha. The box is almost empty >.<
We
also went and did some service and Elder Martin found a giant card board thing
so he folded it up into one of the shirts we make. It was pretty sweet!
(I asked him if there were any one
year mark traditions in his mission)
As
for mission traditions. We don't have any cause mission culture and traditions
are apostate. In the San B mission, and in a lot of other missions, when you
hit 6 months you burn a tie, at 1 year you burn a shirt (I think or else it’s a
pair of pants), and at 18 months you burn the pants(or the shirt), and at the 2
years just before you go home you burn a full suit. But that's apostate and
wrong and so we don't do anything. It’s just sort of 'oh cool you’re a year
old.. get back to work hahaha.
Only
other thing that happened this week is the 2 crashes. Well to keep it short. I
crashed 2 times. Once, the first time last Monday, into a pole which should
have sent me flying headlong into the ground. But I ended up on my feet next to
my bike. I'm not quite sure how that happened and then the second time was
yesterday and we were riding around and some kid ran into me with a bike. Bent
his rim and cut his hand open on my bike. He went to the hospital and had to
get 3 stitches.
Other
then that I've just been working on my Spanish and trying to get better at teaching.
But that's all that's happened this week. I hope everyone has a great week!
I'll find a favorite scripture to send you next week and I'm hoping we'll get
more spiritually uplifting experiences!
I
know this church is true and that we are guided by a prophet of God! I know
this gospel changes lives and brings true happiness!
Talk
to you next week!
